Wounded Little Boys; Broken Grown-up Men
by Marsha Means, M.A.
"How could he do this to me? To our children? To God...and to himself?" nearly all of us cry out in the early days of discovering that the man we gave our heart and life to has shattered our world by violating the sanctity of our marriage and giving away what we believed was ours alone.

My Gratitude this Thanksgiving

On this, my 61st Thanksgiving, I have much to be thankful for. After five years as a single woman, last Saturday evening at the end of a three-day Restarting trauma and addiction recovery training in Asheville, North Carolina, my friend, Mike, became my husband.

My Restarting
by Mike Palczewski
I have waited forty years for someone in the addiction field to help me understand how and why I became addicted. Story: Accident
by Marsha Means, M.A.
“Mmmm, I love you,” Tami said as she ran her fingers through the dark, curly hair at the back of Dan’s neck. “It feels so good to get out and drive through the mountains together and enjoy the fall color like we did when we were kids.” “Sure does. Just like the old days. Me behind the wheel and my best girl snuggled in beside me,” Dan said, grinning at Tami. “Good line!” Tami grinned back, winking as she gently poked him in the ribs. She leaned her head back, closed her eyes, and let the warm autumn sun caress her face. "This moment is so delicious. Like my Momma used to say, ‘If I get any happier I’m going to start purring!” Suddenly, she felt the car veer sharply to the left, then jerk back into their lane.
